My drawings are very detailed and hard to see all that is in them on a tiny computer screen, so I made this tour that animates the drawing with sounds. Best viewed in HD if your internet will allow. This was drawn traditionally with pen and ink and colored pencils. I like to keep my paper clean and dent free so that is why I mock the whole thing up on multiple layers of tracing paper before transferring the final sketch onto smooth Arches 90lb watercolor paper to color.

Lunar Carrot City

This was drawn on my iPad with an Apple Pencil in Procreate. My attempt was to mimic my colored pencil style digitally. I have to say, I love the feel of the Apple Pencil. I have gotten used to drawing on glass and don't use a sheet cover.
Some illustrators use a sheet cover to give the surface a smoother feel so their palm slides along smoothly as they use quick strokes, but I usually draw with slow deliberate strokes and need a bit of tackiness. Anyway, I am fine with the feel of the plastic on glass.
The one thing that would be difficult to draw traditionally by pencil on paper would be the reflecting glint marks on the glass domes. I would have to plan that out in the beginning and leave the area white, where as digitally I can add it over the top of the area I colored.
