Mobile Mountain Lodge

My drawings are very detailed and hard to see all that is in them on a tiny computer screen, so I made this tour that animates the drawing with sounds.  Best viewed in HD if your internet will allow.  This was drawn traditionally with pen and ink  and colored pencils.  I like to keep my paper clean and dent free so that is why I mock the whole thing up on multiple layers of tracing paper before transferring the final sketch onto smooth Arches 90lb watercolor paper to color.

This drawing is made to look like colored pencil despite being digital.  My technical is somewhat old school as I don't really block out shapes of colors first like many digital artists.  The sketch began with a hand drawn, scanned in sketch.  I still have a number of these to work on before I do a drawing start to finish on the iPad.

Inking on iPad

I am tracing over a sketch on my iPad Pro.  I imported the hand drawn sketch into the iPad and am now inking over it on a separate layer and will color it on the iPad.  I could have started the drawing with a sketch on the iPad, but I had already sketched it before purchasing the iPad.  On to the next step.  Coloring!
